Meet Rocky Rochford! One of the original Awethors who initiated the Awethology idea. This eBook is now available on Smashwords & Kindle
What bought you to the world of writing? Honestly? My dog, Rocky. He was this great big fine animal of a German Shepard and the two of us got up to all sorts, so much so I just had to write about it as part of my English homework assignments and I just never stopped.
What story have you entered into the Awethology and Why?
My entry is a piece entitled Ghosts and as for the why? I wanted to write something pure, an emotional roller coaster that will surely take the readers on a ride they could not predict.
What type of books do you write and do they fulfill your reader’s needs?
Honesty I really hope they do fulfill the needs of my readers. Not every book is for every reader, but that’s why I write a range of genres, from truly terrifying horrors, with thought evoking killers. Suspenseful thrillers, paranormal tales of love, loss and magick and even romance and poetry that just sometimes, feel like they are telling the story of the readers lives. I write for my own love of the act and for the reader.
Tell us about your short story?
Ghosts is the story of a man haunted by his own guilt, the guilt of a survivor, a man who has watched those he loved dearly, fade from sight and fade from this world. They may be dead but they are not forgotten and for, they are more alive than ever before.
What was your experience with #Awethors group and the Awethology?
I have been involved in just a few Anthologies and for me, this has been one of the most engaging ones to have worked on, which is probably due to the fact the initial concept for it, was my own before with the help of my collaborative partner, DM Cain, that singular thought became so much more and then the ocean of undiscovered talent, that soon became the Awethors, came banging on our door, with the likes of Jason Greensides, Christie Stratos, A.L. Mengel, C.L. Schneider and so many others. It has been a pleasure and truly one of the best things I have ever done and I don’t want the fun to stop.
How do you promote your writing?
Via the use of regular tweets, posts in various Facebook groups and a lot of word of mouth.
