K S MarsdenTell us a bit about yourself.

I have lived in Wales, London, Ireland, and I am now back in lovely Yorkshire.

I have worked as a nutritional advisor, cocktail waitress, a horse-riding instructor, and a professional stallion handler (oh, the jokes…)

Oh yeah, and I’m a writer.  My first book was published in 2013; I write Fantasy for teens and adults.  I am allergic to romance, and only write it on special occasions.

What bought you to the world of writing?

When I was young, I always loved the pure escapism associated with stories and inevitably started to write my own.

I was first inspired to publish when I was going…

THE WHITE DONKEY THAT WAS REALLY A PONY

Zoolon Audio

I met my 5 year old nephew, Jackson, for the first time this weekend. I had seen him once before but that was in a crowded family gathering ages ago. Him and his dad, my oldest brother, came to stay from a long way away.

Jackson is a thinker. A gentle, clever little bloke as well. It was after a long walk checking out the single donkey and Shetland ponies in the field on the edge of the forest up the road from where I live, when I showed him my guitars. Impressed, I could see he’d like to try them out. The only problem being they’re all bigger than he is. Having done a bit of thinking myself I remembered my first mandolin. I hadn’t played that one for years. Jackson, who’d never played musical instruments before, took to it the best way a 5 year can. He wanted…

Christie Stratos headshot_outdoorsTell us a bit about yourself.

Thanks for doing this wonderful interview! I’m a writer and an editor, and I love doing both. One always inspires the other, so when I edit, I’m dying to write, and when I write, I think of additional ways I can help my editing clients. I love immersing myself in multiple creative endeavors, and once I get going, I forget to do everything else. Like eat.

What brought you to the world of writing?

I have written since I knew how. I’ve always loved expressing myself creatively, and it’s what I’m best at, what I’m most comfortable doing. I wrote poems when I was very young…

Elizabeth Hrton NewtonTell us a bit about yourself.

I’ve been writing since I was a child. In fact, when I was in the fourth grade we had to write an essay on what would we like to be when we grew up. I wanted to be an author. It took me over fifty years to reach this point. Along the way I married, divorced, and married again, had four children, earned a college degree and a few certifications, explored more than one career, had five grandchildren, and finally retired and began the career I dreamed of when I was ten years old.

Stewart Bint author picTell us a bit about yourself.

I was born in the dim and distant past (under extreme torture I’ll admit to 1956).Writing takes up pretty much all my time in three different guises. As well as my novels, I also write a column for a fortnightly local magazine, and I’m a Public Relations writer for the world’s leading industrial CAD/CAM software developer. I trained as a journalist and worked as a radio broadcaster reading the news and presenting current affairs and phone-in shows for ten years.

What bought you to the world of writing?

The writing bug infected me when I was just seven years old, thanks to my favourite television show, Doctor Who. The original series, way back in 1963…

I am married with 2 children, both born on the same day 2 years apart. They are grown up now and I have an adorable grandson. I come from a family of journalists, but no one was into writing fiction. So writing must be in my genes. I presently live in Manchester, but next year we are moving to Wales.

What bought you to the world of writing?

I’ve been writing for as long as I can remember, so nothing actually brought me in. My writing has evolved from writing for me, writing for pleasure and then writing for publication.
