L A Remenicky one of our fabulous Romance #Awethors
It’s time to meet L A Remenicky who is a NaNoWriMo participant (National November Writing Month) and we wish her the best of luck this year. Her story entered into the Awethology is one you will truly enjoy
I am a 40-something wife and mother of 3 furkids who is a CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) by day and a romance author by night.
What bought you to the world of writing?
I’ve always been a voracious reader with a vivid imagination. I’ve always made up my own storylines for my favorite television shows. When a friend introduced me to NaNoWriMo in 2012 I gave it a try and I was hooked.
What story have you entered into the Awethology and Why?
I hadn’t written anything resembling a short story since high school so I thought I’d give it a try. I had a story idea that I thought would work well so I went for it. The One Night Stand ended up being a prequel to a series I have planned for next year.
What type of books do you write and do they fulfill your reader’s needs?
I write contemporary romance with a twist. There will always be a need for romance – sometimes you just want to get away from real life and immerse yourself in a good love story.
Tell us about your short story?
The One Night Stand is about Jeff and Kat who meet at a crowded bar one night and think they are going to have a one night stand. It doesn’t quite work out that way…
What was your experience with #Awethors group and the Awethology?
I found the #Awethors group during their first event. The group looked like a place I would like to be so I invited myself to the group. I’m not as active in the group as I would like to be – we help each other celebrate the victories and commiserate when things don’t go so well.
How do you promote your writing?
I have a (very) neglected blog and a monthly newsletter along with a Facebook author page and a fan group.
Where can we buy your books?
My books are available on all the major eBook retailers: Amazon, Kobo, iBooks, Barnes & Noble, and AllRomance.com.
Who are your favourite authors?
The list is long and varied. Stephen King is at the top of my list for his ability to draw me into a story. Then there’s some other big names: Janet Evanovich, Nora Roberts, and Diana Gabaldon along with some indies: Jade Jamison, Samantha Jacobey, and Mia Sheriden just to name a few.
