Nature Loving and Creative #Awethor A L Sayge
A L Sayge is one of our #Awethors who has many interests outside of her writing. It’s no wonder she has such an awesome imaginations and is writes novels which entertain and take us to another world.
Tell us a bit about yourself.
I love immersing myself in nature and especially in the woods – I find it calming yet invigorating, it’s a way of casting aside the world and bringing myself back to center. Nature photography is one of my favorite creative outlets when I’m not writing, it opens up hidden worlds and energizes my creativity. I have lots of other pursuits, from avocational archaeology to antiques; in fact, too many for just one lifetime!
What brought you to the world of writing?
Believe it or not, my interest in writing began when I became addicted to Nancy Drew mysteries at the age of eleven. Even then I used to play around with fiction writing; little did I guess then that I’d be writing articles and websites for a living!
What story have you entered into the Awethology and why?
I submitted “Double Jeopardy” because it was fun to write and hopefully it’ll be fun to read. It’s a very short piece, so it won’t require a huge time commitment from readers.
What type of books do you write?
I’m now in the editing phase of a cozy mystery with a twist, but you’ll have to wait for publication to see what it is! J It’ll be the first in a series. I’ve also had a completely different mainstream novel kicking around for some time now.
Tell us about your short story?
Unfortunately I can’t – it’s so short, any clues would give it away! All I can say is that it’s definitely relatable.
What was your experience with #Awethors group and the Awethology?
The Awethors are an incredibly supportive group of writers who are always eager to help fellow authors in every way. I immediately felt at home there and have found some wonderful friends as well as professional connections. The Awethology has been lots of fun, and the organizers of the Awethology, Rocky Rochford and D.M. Cain, have put so much time and effort into taking the idea from concept to completion – I can’t thank them enough.
