#Awethor Dawn Brazil shares a creepy story in time for Halloween

Awethors.awethology.soonWelcome to the wonderful #Awethor Dawn Brazil who writes for Young Adults.  With Halloween just around the corner, her entry into Awethology Dark may be the right story for you 🙂

Dawn BrazilTell us a bit about yourself.

I’m a wife, mother of three, and a current grad student. I have always loved to read and write but I had to stumble through a few jobs I detested before I realized my true calling – writing.

What brought you to the world of writing?

My first real passion was reading. At an early age, I liked to make up stories and share them with my siblings and cousins. People often said, “That little girl never stops talking.” Well, I’ve always had a story to tell and tell them I must.

What story have you entered into the Awethology and Why?

My story for the anthology is Share the Pain. I wrote this story because it is geared toward the audience I normally write for – Young Adults. It’s also a creepy, psychological story and since it is so close to Halloween, I wanted something a little on the edge.

What type of books do you write and do they fulfill your reader’s needs?

I write Young Adult urban fantasy and science fiction. I hope they fill my reader’s needs.  I was signed with Booktrope Publishing recently. So, right now, they are in a re-release pattern. The changes that are being made to them are awesome – new covers, a deeper POV for the story… I’m so excited to share it with even more readers.

Tell us about your short story?

My story centers on a girl that arrives back to her hometown after a tragedy. She is hell bent on revenge. But there is a great plot twist.

What was your experience with #Awethors group and the Awethology?

I love the group. Members are supportive, kind, and funny as heck. There are some real visionaries and creative minds behind this anthology. I’m ecstatic to be included.

Who are your favourite authors?

This is a tough question – there are many. But my absolute fav’s would be: Stephen King, Michelle Hodkin, Dean Koontz, Tahereh Mafi, David Estes, …
