Horror #Awethor – Chrissy Moon

Let me introduce you to the lovely talented horror #Awethor Chrissy Moon.  This talented #Awethor has a short story in Awethology Dark called ‘Mabel’s Promotion.’  Keep on reading and you’ll learn a bit more about Chrissy and her work.

Tell us a bit about yourself.

I used to work in an office as an executive assistant. Most of the jobs I had as an adult I got because of the experience I’ve had over the years, and those jobs I only got because I could type fast. It all started in typing class in high school, you know, the kind with typewriters. My son has never even seen a typewriter before. I feel old.

What bought you to the world of writing?

It’s something I just fell into as a tween when I tried telling a boy I liked him but didn’t know how to verbalize it. So I sent him note after note. It seems I’ve always been writing about my emotions!

What story have you entered into the Awethology and Why?

I have created a story called Mabel’s Promotion. I just love writing horror in the short story form. It’s a lot of fun, and shows more of what I can do.

What type of books do you write and do they fulfill your reader’s needs?

I mostly write paranormal romance, both in adult and YA. It also translates to women’s fiction, especially the adult books. I enjoy writing about women who are emotionally tough, or who are on their way to being tough. I want to show women and especially young women that we can be kind, caring, loving, and strong all at the same time.

Tell us about your short story?

Mabel is a young lady looking to get promoted at the company she works at, but she doesn’t seem to be very honest. She’s in her office building in the middle of the night, but something or someone’s there with her. Will she be frightened to death? Will she be able to leave the office?

What was your experience with #Awethors group and the Awethology?

My experience has been amazing. There have been so many incredible people I’ve chatted with and complained to, and they always responded in a very kind and helpful manner. I have learned so much from them and forged some friendships with some truly outstanding individuals. I am very grateful for having the stroke of luck of being involved with them.

I like so many, including a good chunk of my author friends, but the two that stand out are Joe Hill and Richelle Mead.
