J B Taylor #Awethor of Short Stories
J B Taylor is awesome! He already has a set of books out called Dissimilar Shorts which Plaisted Publishing House formatted. This Awethor writes great stories with depth not seen in many books. His short story “Majicka,” is in Awethology Dark. Don’t forget this book is FREE.
I was born in Indiana where I still reside with my now four lovely dogs after rescuing another. I have published multiple novels and have a few more in the works.
What bought you to the world of writing?
I always loved creating stories in my head at night when trying to fall asleep. I enjoyed seeing how far I could get before sleep took me. Eventually, after reading a great book by P.N. Elrod and wishing I could write like her, I thought…why can’t I? What’s stopping me? Nothing was, so I began writing.
What story have you entered into the Awethology and Why?
I have entered Majicka. I wrote it for the short instead of putting up something I had tucked away because I wanted to prove myself to the group. Show them that I belong, that I have the chops to be a writer.
What type of books do you write and do they fulfill your reader’s needs?
I write many genres. Sci-fi, horror, fantasy, action-adventure. Do they fill my reader’s needs? Yes, all five of my readers like my stories. 😉
Tell us about your short story?
Majicka is about a man whose wife if kidnapped by a wizard and sets off on a journey to get her back.
What was your experience with #Awethors group and the Awethology?
The group means more to me than I could honestly put into words. They’re like a second family. The Awethology is something I’m insanely proud of. To be amongst a group of extraordinary writers is just priceless. I can’t believe I’m aloud to be a part of the group, and a part of the Awethology. I never would have thought myself talented enough, not in a million years.
How else do you promote your writing?
Social media and a review blog, that’s about it.
Where can we buy your books?
Who are your favourite authors?
J.K. Rowling. P.N. Elrod. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Joe Hill. Stephen King.
